What Does It Mean to Be Born Again?

Being born again means receiving new spiritual life through faith in Jesus Christ. It is more than turning over a new leaf: it is the beginning of a relationship with God. Jesus spoke about this new birth in John 3:3–7.

Romans 10:9 teaches that if you declare Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Turn to Him in faith, ask for forgiveness, and receive His love. You can come to God as you are.

Salvation is God's gift, received through faith—not something we earn by good works. Jesus died for our sins and rose again so that we could be reconciled to God. His grace invites us into a new life of faith and obedience. Ephesians 2:8–10.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Jesus to die for my sins. I turn to You and ask for Your forgiveness. I declare that Jesus is Lord and believe that You raised Him from the dead. I receive Your gift of salvation. Help me follow Jesus and grow in Your Word. In Jesus' name, amen.
